SAYTEX BC-48 flame retardant is designed for use in coating applications, such as textiles and paints.
However, it can also be used in polystyrene foam (EPS) and solid polystyrene with proper processing conditions.

SAYTEX BC-48 flame retardant is a low molecular weight cycloaliphatic containing a high level of bromine.
It has a low melting point and high solubility in common solvents making it suitable for use in solvent-borne coatings or hot-melt adhesive applications.
Its high solubility in styrene monomer make it a good choice for suspension polymerization polystyrene beads for foam applications.
