SAFOAM RPC-40 is a high temperature styrenic masterbatch of an endothermic chemical nucleating and blowing agent for the creation of a fine foam structure in thermoplastic injection molding and extrusion applications.
SAFOAM RPC-40 contains 40% SAFOAM RPC powder and 60% of a special surfactant package based on a styrenic resin and an EEA rubber, which improve melt tension and melt flow.
It is commonly used in injection molding for the elimination of sink marks, reduction of part warpage, and for minor weight reduction.
In extrusion operations, it is used for the creation of fine size cells in direct gas applications.
Recommended for Nylon, PC and PET based thermoplastics that reach the decomposition temperature during injection molding or extrusion.
SAFOAM RPC-40 is commonly used to create a standard cell structure for medium density foam applications.
SAFOAM RPC-40 can be used in various applications in conjunction with gas counter-pressure and gas assist molding technologies.
