Octamine is a solid amine-type antioxidant that gives minimum discoloration and maximum protection. Use in sulfur cure systems. Effective in EPDM (e.g. Royalene), Neoprene and nitrile (e.g. Paracril) rubbers. Available in powder, pastille and flake form. Excellent protection against degradation due to heat, oxygen and flexing. Nonblooming before and after cure. Gives Neoprene added protection against bin scorch. Negligible effect on cure. Very slight discoloration and staining. Used in tire carcass, footwear, molded heels and soles, proofing, sponge, automotive rubber, wire jackets, insulation and floor tile. |
