Perkacit SDMC is used as an accelerator in the vulcanization of NR and SBR latices. It is also used as a radical inhibitor in the polymerization of SBR.
- The aqueous solution of Perkacit SDMC is highly suitable for use in NR and SBR latices initiating the vulcanization from 80¡ÆC - 100¡ÆC.
- Perkacit SDMC is used as a radical inhibitor (short-stop) in the final stage of the SBR polymerization.
- It should be noted that in the application of Perkacit SDMC N-nitrosodimethylamine can be formed by the reaction of dimethylamine, a decomposition product, with nitrosating agents (nitrogen oxides).
- Perkacit SDMC is regulated for use in articles in contact with food as specified under FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, 175.105, 176.300 and under BgVV XXI, Category 1(latex only) and Categories 2-4. |
