Perkacit SDEC is used as an accelerator in combination with thiazoles and guanidines in the
vulcanization of NR and SBR latices.
- The aqueous solution of Perkacit SDEC is highly suitable for use in NR and SBR latices, resulting in vulcanization initiation from 90¡ÆC - 100¡ÆC.
- Activation of Perkacit SDEC is possible with thiazoles and guanidines.
- It should be noted that in the application of Perkacit SDEC N-nitrosodiethylamine can be formed by the reaction of diethylamine, a decomposition product, with nitrosating agents (nitrogen oxides).
- Perkacit SDEC is regulated for use in articles in contact with food as specified under BgVV XXI, Category 1 (latex only) and Categories 2-4. Perkacit SDEC is not regulated for use in FDA food contact applications. |
