MP-12
MP-12 WAX is a special grade of micronized synthetic wax that has been processed for use in printing inks, paints and coatings where grinding or milling are part of the production process.
MP-12 WAX is economical, easy to use and will impart a high degree of lubricity and abrasion resistance when added at levels of 1-3% by weight to all types of inks, paints and coatings.
The MP-12 WAX has been micronized to a particle size distribution that corresponds to a NPIRI grind gauge reading of 5.0-6.0 and is easily incorporated into formulations that use sand mills, ball mills or roller mills for processing of dry color pigments.
This grade of wax can be added directly to the grind phase with the pigment or it can be added during the let down phase and dispersed.
MP-12 WAX is recommended for use in flexographic, gravure, letter-press, offset and moisture set inks as well as industrial lacquers, paints, coil coatings and wood coatings.
Due to its excellent lubricity and hardness, MP-12 WAX will exhibit exceptional anti-blocking properties when added to the above mentioned coatings.
