MICROCAT-DEN is a synergistic blend of preselected, naturally-occurring microorganisms for denitrifying (remove nitrate from) wastewater under anoxic conditions. It is formulated for application in wastewaters containing the products of the nitrification process.
Under certain treatment conditions nitrate can build up in effluent water. Nitrate buildup can have serious negative impacts on the wastewater process (e.g. lower pH) and on the receiving ecosystem. Under these conditions MICROCAT-DEN can help. MICROCAT-DEN combines preselected, naturally-occurring microbial strains with denitrifying (nitrate reduction) capability. MICROCAT-DEN contains a combination of facultative anaerobic microorganisms selected from nature for their ability to use nitrate as an oxygen source. Inoculation with MICROCAT-DEN augments the natural denitrifying microbial populations for enhanced and more consistent nitrate removal capability. |
