Mark 1413 2-hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenone is FDA-regulated for use in polyolefins which require optimum light stability. It also protects vinyl chloride polymers (PVC), unsaturated polyesters, and other polymers. Mark 1413 is extremely effective in protecting PVC, polyethylene and polypropylene against the degradative effects of UV radiation as experienced in outdoor-weathering or fluorescent light exposure. - Mark 1413 UV absorber at economical concentrations, provides high absorption throughout the ultraviolet spectrum (300-400 nm). - Mark 1413 UV absorber does not affect the color of the compound being stabilized. - Mark 1413 exhibits excellent compatibility and performance, i.e. low volatility and low extraction. -The excellent inherent light, chemical and heat stability of Mark 1413 make it an outstanding choice for vinyls and polyolefins as well as other polymeric compositions. |
