ALCOGUM 6940 is a slightly amber liquid sodium polyacrylate thickener which finds extensive use in the thickening of natural and synthetic latexes for a wide variety of applications. ALCOGUM 6940 may be used to thicken styrene-butadiene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, neoprene, acrylic, vinyl acetate and ethylene-vinyl acetate latex compounds. In general, they are the most satisfactory thickeners for latexes which have an alkaline reaction, although some success has been achieved in neutral or slightly acid systems. |
