ALCAN ULTRAFINE and ULTRAFINE 'E' grades of alumina trihydrate are white crystalline powders with the chemical formula Al(OH)3, alternatively written as Al2O3-3H2O. ALCAN ULTRAFINE products are sub-micron in particle size. In common with the FRF, FRFLV and SUPERFINE product ranges ALCAN ULTRAFINE products utilise the release of combined water to impart high performance flame retardant and smoke suppressant properties in plastics and rubbers.
