Operate the DNS for the .ie namespace
The Domain Name System (DNS) is the system that translates Internet domain names into IP numbers. A DNS Server is a server that performs this kind of translation.
Administer the .ie Database
The database associates Internet resources (addresses, domain names etc) to legal bodies (personified as contacts).
Update the ccTLD zone server
The .ie zone is updated through a process known as reloads/rebuilds. There are 5 rebuilds per day, 365 days per year. The rebuild times are 10am, 12pm, 3pm, 5pm and
10pm.
Implement technical advances
Organise and manage all technical aspects related to the registration.
Operate registry processes
For new registrations, renewals, billing agent transfers, domain contact and hosting modifications.
Operate administrative processes
For billing, renewals, credit control and cash collection. |
