Alumina Trihydrate is currently the filler most widely used in plastics for non-toxic, smoke suppressive and flame retardant properties. Low resin demand, ease of handling and relative cost/performance advantages make Haltex an ideal choice for use in cross-linked polymers, glass-reinforced unsaturated polyesters, and many thermoplastics. Several Haltex grades are available, differentiated by grind. Carpet backings, tub and shower stalls, wire and cable insulation, vinyl coated fabrics, electrical and rubber products may be made with Haltex. |
