This polychloroprene processing aid lowers viscosity during processing without lowering the durometer of the cured compound and without a significant affect on the rate of cure. It greatly improves shelf aging of the uncured polychloroprene compounds and improves scorch resistance. It is recommended for use in all mercapto-modified types of polychloroprene. It is also recommended at a 1 to 1 ratio with Akrochem Peptizer 9344. Akrochem Peptizer 9349 should be added early in the mixing cycle and zinc oxide should be added last. Recommended Use 0.5 to 2.0 parts per 100 phr in polychloroprene |
