Reactive Halogenated Flame Retardant Great Lakes PHT4-Diol, tetrabromophthalate diol, is a reactive flame retardant intermediate. Great Lakes PHT4-Diol is a viscous, light brown colored liquid which exhibits excellent compatibility with a broad range of commercial polyols and blowing agents.Great Lakes PHT4-Diol is recommended as a reactive flame retardant for Class 1 and Class 2 rigid polyurethane foam. Great Lakes PHT4-Diol foams can be formulated for excellent physical properties or favorable economics. Other application areas include polyurethane RIM, elastomers, coatings, adhesives and fibers. The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt.
