Halogenated Flame Retardant Great Lakes PHE-65 is an aromatic brominated flame retardant whose unique structure aids in the initiation of FR performance, allowing for the reduction or potential elimination of peroxide synergists in textile and thermoplastic applications. Great Lakes PHE-65 is recommended as an additive flame retardant for EPS and foamed polystyrene. Great Lakes PHE-65 may also be used as a synergist for aromatic bromine containing flame retardants in applications where maximum process temperatures do not exceed 150'C. The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt.
