Properties: white crystalline powder
odorless, slightly bitter taste. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, almost insoluble in chloroform or ether.
Role and purpose: as a hemostatic, the inhibition of plasminogen activating enzyme, plasminogen can not be activated to plasmin, thereby inhibiting the dissolution of fibrin, to stop the bleeding. High concentrations has a direct effect, the plasmin. For fibrinolysis hyperthyroidism caused by postpartum hemorrhage and prostate, liver, pancreas, lung surgery after bleeding. Or intravenous infusion: Each 4-8g, daily 8-12g, usually the first dose of 4-6g, dissolved in sterile normal saline, 5% glucose injection or Compound Sodium Chloride Injection 100ml at 15 - within 30 minutes, end note, a maintenance dose of 1g per hour, the number depending on the illness
