Containing a small amount of sorbitol. The relative density of 1.49. Specific rotation [¥á] D20-0.40 ¡Æ (10% aqueous solution). Minimal moisture absorption. Solution stability. Of acid, dilute alkali stable. Oxidation by oxygen in air does not. Soluble in water (5.6g/100ml, 20 ¡É)
and glycerol (5.5g/100m1). Slightly soluble in ethanol (1.2g/100m1). Soluble in hot ethanol. Almost insoluble in most other common organic solvents. 20% aqueous solution of pH 5.5 to 6.5.
