Fyrol Flame Retardant Fyrol MP is a white free flowing powder, non-halogenated, phosphorus based flame retardant useful by itself or as an adjuvant for flame retarding various thermoplastics: polyofins, elastomers and engineering resins. This product can be processed up to 250'C (480'F) on typical polymer processing equipment such as single or twin screw extruders, internal batch mixers (Banbury type), and roll mills. Molding operations such as injection molding and thermal forming processes are easily accomplished with composites made of this flame retardant. Cost savings can be achieved with Fyrol MP composities over halogenated systems due to the density difference of the flame retardants i.e., the halogenated systems contribute significantly more to the composite¡¯s density. Therefore, more composite of the Fyrol MP compound can be produced for the same weight. |
