High Performance Organotin Catalyst for Delayed Action Urethane Application.

FOMREZ UL-32 catalyst is a more delayed action analog of FOMREZ UL-1 catalyst for water/fluorocarbon blown urethane foams. This product provides foam manufacturers and systems suppliers with important new advantages over dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTDL) where hydrolytic resistance and delayed action are desired. FOMREZ UL-32 catalyst can be used for preparation of one-shot or prepolymer type, polyether based, pour-in-place rigid urethane foams, high resilience (HR) flexible urethane foams, and microcellular urethane elastomers, as well as adhesives and sealants.FOMREZ UL-32 catalyst can be used at approximately the same level as FOMREZ UL-1 catalyst and offers a considerable delayed-action advantage over dibutyltin dilaurate. An outstanding feature of this catalyst is its resistance to hydrolysis. This improved hydrolytic stability affords the opportunity for extended shelf-life of urethane system "B" components, as compared of larger batches for use over longer periods of time. |
