Espercarb 1043
Bis(4-tert-butylcyclohexyl) peroxydicarbonate
15520-11-3
Espercarb 1043 initiator is a versatile solid peroxydicarbonate that can be used as an initiator for low temperature polymerization of a variety of vinyl monomers and unsaturated polyester resins.
A distinct advantage of Espercarb 1043 initiator over liquid peroxydicarbonates is that it can be utilized in similar applications calling for low kick-off temperatures without the need for the very low temperatures required for shipping and storage of the liquids.
Espercarb 1043 initiator can be used alone or in conjunction with other organic peroxides, usually as the first initiator of the polymerization or crosslinking reaction. Typical kick-off temperatures for unsaturated polyesters can be as low as about 40'C (120'F) to 82'C (180'F).
