EPOLENE C-17P Wax
Highly branched, medium molecular weight polyethylene wax
9002-88-4
EPOLENE C-17 Wax is a relatively high melting point and high viscosity, low-density polyethylene wax developed for use in combination with other EPOLENE waxes or in blends containing lower molecular weight material.
EPOLENE C17 wax may be used to modify paraffin wax to increase blend viscosity, which is important for controlling penetration of the coating into paper substrates.
Blends of EPOLENE waxes with paraffin wax offer improved grease resistance, higher blocking temperatures, better scuff resistance, and improved gloss.
In general, the EPOLENE C-series waxes are branched polyethylene polymers having a higher viscosity and molecular weight than the more linear EPOLENE N-series.
EPOLENE polymers have good high-temperature stability, low color, low-temperature flexibility, and excellent compatibility with various tackifying resins.
EPOLENE polymers are supplied as free-flowing pellets (and powder, EPOLENE C-17P Wax), and packaged in multi-walled paper bags with a polyethylene coated inner liner (50 LB net weight). The bags are palletized and stretch-wrapped to prevent contamination during storage and shipment.
EPOLENE polymers may also be shipped in a variety of bulk containers.
