ELFTEX Pellets 115 pigment black is a high structure oil pelletized specialty black pigment designed to impart good color strength to lithographic cold set inks.
* Lithographic Inks: ELFTEX Pellets 115 pigment black is a high structure black that imparts very good jetness in conventional rub off lithographic news ink applications. ELFTEX Pellets 115 is low in sulfur and other contaminants which makes it well suited for the dispersion quality demands of news ink manufacturers. The presence of the naphthenic oil makes it very compatible with oil based news ink formulas.
* Liquid Ink: The presence of the naphthenic oil precludes the use of ELFTEX Pellets 115 in non-oil based applications.
The dispersibility of ELFTEX Pellets 115 pigment black depends on the equipment used and the formulation. The presence of the naphthenic pelletizing oil improves the dispersibility of the ELFTEX Pellets 115 over similar blacks pelletized in the conventional manner. It is very easy to disperse compared to the other pigment blacks used in news ink applications.
ELFTEX Pellets 115 is an oil pelleted pigment black with a typical bulk density of 17.4 lbs/ft3 (279 g/L) that can be bulk handled. |
