Poly-G 35-610 |

Arch low molecular weight polyols, in either solvent- or water-based formulations, have been a mainstay of the paint and coatings industry. Higher molecular weight polyols, like Poly-G¢ç 20-28 and 85-29, are used for two-part, very high solid roof and deck coatings. In addition, newly introduced Poly-A 27-2000 is utilized in sprayable polyurea-based formulas for use in tank and concrete coatings among other applications. Poly-G polyols are used in high-solid, solvent-based and water-dispersible urethane adhesives. And, most Poly-G diols meet Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations for use in food packaging. Arch's 20 series diols, for most solvent- and sold-based adhesives, range in molecular weight from 425 to 4,000. The 55 sereies of Poly-G VHP diols are favored due to their water compatibility and their ability to help reduce VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Elastomers made from TDI prepolymers, using Poly-G 55-112, 55-56 and 55-37, offer improved tensile strength, tear resistance and resilience compared with conventional polyols. Elastomers based on MDI prepolymers, made with these same polyols, promote excellent resilience and compression set properties. Poly-G 85-36, a VHP polyol, is used in prepolymers and curing agents for room-temperature cure and tire-fill elastomers. It improves resilience, compression-set and glass transition temperature. A new high-performance elastomer, incorporating the 55 series of diols with high performance polyols such as PTMEG, has been designed to obtain the best features of each. Poly-G HQEE is an aromatic diol chain extender used in high performance elastomers and TPU applications. |
