Alkomol E is a polyether formed by the addition of a polypropylene glycol chain to stearyl ether, which is why its chemical stability is superior to that of esters normally used as emollient. As a result of the number of propylene oxide units, Alkomol E comes in the form of an oily liquid with a low level of viscosity, with excellent spreading and emollient power for the skin and hair. Because of these characteristics and because it is non comedogenic(does not clog the pores) Alkomol E is used in cosmetic formulations such as bath oils, sunscreens, hair products, lotions and creams, antiperspirant deodorants and make-up products. |
