U-80 is a white to ivory colored crystalline organic chemical derived from naphthalene, emitting characteristic sweet neroli, orange blossom aromas. With a suggestion of grape, U-80 is rounder and smoother than the other naphthyl ethers. It gives lovely undertones to jasmines, eaux de Cologne, narcissus and wisteria perfumes. In particular, it is a popular fragrance added to soaps, detergents and deodorants. |
