Mackalene 426-100 is a high active cationic surfactant that is used primarily as a conditioner for hair care products.
Mackalene 426-100 has an advantage over quaternary ammonium cationics in that it rinses more readily from the hair and thereby prevents build-up or a "matted" feel.
Mackalene 426-100 is also compatible with anionic surfactants and is recommended as a conditioner in clear shampoo formulations.
At an active level of 4% Mackalene 426-100 is non- irritating to the skin and eyes and will not depress foam when properly formulated.
