Mackam OCT-50 is a 40% active acqueous solution of octyl betaine.
It acts as an effective hydrotrope to couple nonionic surfactants into high electrolyte systems.
It can tolerate up to 25% sodium hydroxide and is a modest foamer.
Mackam OCT-50 will not hydrolyze, even in stron mineral acids.
It is useful for producing highly built cleaners with good detergency and high cloud points. |
