IRGAGUARD B 1000 is a highly active antimicrobial effective against a wide range of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria by inhibiting their growth. The combination of low migration rates versus high activity of IRGAGUARD B 1000 generally provides antimicrobial efficacy over the entire life of the plastic article. Optimum balance between substrate com-patibility and migration rates make this product suitable for all common substrates. Thermal stability of IRGAGUARD B 1000 has been verified up to 300'C The use of IRGAGUARD B 1000 can be recommended in applications where temperatures of 250 - 270 'C are not exceeded. Suitable polymers are polyolefins (PP, LD & HDPE), EVA, PMMA, Polystyrene, UP, PUR, TPU, UF, Latex and Cellulose Acetate. The use of IRGAGUARD B 1000 in PVC and ABS has to be evaluated case to case. Key areas of applications are sanitary accessories (i.e. tooth brushes, toilet seats), appliances, garbage containers, shoe insoles, mats, hospital supplies and others. |
