				| Aztec DHBP Liquid & DHBP 50C | | | | Aztec DHBP is a liquid dialkyl peroxide for use as a crosslinking agent for synthetic and natural rubbers. Aztec DHBP 50C is a 50% active dispersion of the liquid peroxide on calcium carbonate.
The dispersed forms provide improved handling characteristics and properties associated with powdered compounding ingredients.
Aztec DHBP peroxide is used as a catalyst for crosslinking a variety of synthetic rubbers including EPR, EPDM, EVA, NBR, polychloroprene, PVC, chlorosulphonated polyethylene, SBR, polyurethane, and silicone.
The powdered form provides ease of handling and weighing accuracy.
DHBP peroxide is a low odor catalyst and due to its aliphatic structure, imparts a minimal amount of discoloration in the final cure.
Typical dosages range from 1.0 to 10.0 phr depending on polymer type and filler loadings.
In its liquid form, DHBP is a clear, colorless liquid which can be used as a cure catalyst in applications where optical clarity is essential.
Unlike Bis (t-butylperoxy) diisopropylbenzene peroxide (¡°Vulcup¡± type), DHBP peroxide will not bloom from EPDM's.
DHBP is acceptable under FDA 177.2600 Regulations, Sec.(b) "Accelerators" under the chemical name : (1,1,4,4-Tetramethyltetramethylene) bis-tert-butyl peroxide].
