				| Stearic Acid RG | | | | Stearic Acid(Rubber Grade) is a mixture of saturated fatty acids composed primarily of octadecanoic(Stearic) and Hexadecanoic(Palmitic) Acids to a controlled titer and acid value. It is a colorless, waxy, solid with a characteristic fatty odor.
Akrochem¡¯s stearic acids are available in flake or prill (beads) forms.
Stearic acid is used as a dispersing agent and accelerator activator in rubber compounds.
It aids dispersion of pigments and fillers and improves processing since it acts as a stock lubricant and can facilitate mold flow, improve extrusions and aid release.
For a higher purity mixture of saturated fatty acids see Akrochem¡¯s Stearic Acid TP (triple ressed).
