AKROWAX 5084 is a proprietary blend of microcrystalline wax and and a range of different melt-point paraffin waxes.
It is designed for maximum protection of rubber articles exposed to a varied range of ambient temperatures.
AKROWAX 5084 is used in rubber to give ozone resistance at a wide spectrum of temperatures as might be experienced by a part in the field.
The special blend of waxes promotes a flexible wax film bloom at all temperatures that ozone might attack a rubber part (0'C to 50'C). Normal loadings are 2 to 4 phr in a normal application: 4 to 8 phr in highly loaded compounds. |
