Troysol Q148 is a specially formulated flow control agent that may also function as a defoamer. Supplied as a 27% active solution, Troysol Q148 provides an optimum balance of defoaming, flow, and substrate wetting in water reducible systems. Troysol Q148 has also improved flow in high solids baking systems with minimal effect on recoating.
Troysol Q148 is effective in a wide variety of water reducible resins as well as latexes and colloidal dispersions. In addition to coatings, Troysol Q148 has found application in inks and adhesives based on similar resins. These aqueous systems include:
- Air-drying and baking alkyds
- Air-drying and baking epoxies
- Maleinized oil primers
- Urethanes
- Polyesters
- Thermosetting acrylics
- Thermoplastic acrylics
